Surgeons group building a new home on the Hill

The American College of Surgeons government relations team is planning to leave their cramped Georgetown offices and move closer to Capitol Hill. ACS broke ground at 20 F Street NW on May 9 and the new building is expected to be ready for tenants by the first quarter of 2010. ACS plans to occupy the top floor and use a rooftop deck, which has views of the Capitol, for its own events and for rental. ACS is headquartered in Chicago, but has 18 staffers in Washington, D.C. and plans to add three to five more to the office.
